Vietnam Veterans Memorial exhibit arrives Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will arrive in the Tucson area on Wednesday.

The Wall That Heals is a half-scale version of the full monument in Washington, DC, and will be in the area for five days, at Riverfront Park on Lambert Lane in Oro Valley.

The Wall is lighted at night and is open 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the wall will travel east on River Road near La Cholla at 11 a.m.  It will continue east to Oracle Road, then north on Oracle to Pusch View Road, which goes west and becomes Lambert Lane.

Volunteer First Responders, Police and Fire, will setup the Wall once it arrives. The public is invited to watch.

The Opening Ceremony will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday, and a public Sunday ceremony will be held at 9 a.m.  The exhibit will be dismantled at 3 p.m. Sunday.
