50 shades of Spring gray

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - More clouds than sun on tap this afternoon.

Southwesterly winds aloft carry in a steady cloud deck from the eastern Pacific Ocean, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Even with mostly cloud skies today, highs run 6-8° above average. Metro Tucson peaks in the mid to upper 70s, followed by lows in the low 50s.

Mostly clear skies are expected tonight, but some clouds return to wrap up the week. Highs Friday and Saturday reach the low 80s.

Enough moisture is in play for a slight shower chance the second half of the weekend. Metro Tucson stands a 20% chance of showers late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Models continue to indicate areas north of the metro will stand the best chance for showers Sunday.
