NERF kits donated to Boys & Girls Club of Tucson encouraging “exergaming”

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON – 150 NERF Energy Game Kits were donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson as part of a national initiative to encourage young people to become more active through "exergaming".

Members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson were led through exercises with UnitedHealthcare mascot, Dr. Health E. Hound, to test their new NERF ENERGY Game Kit, according to a press release.

These kits are said to track activities earning “energy points” in order to play the game.

The donation is said to be part of a recently launched national initiative between Hasbro and UnitedHealthcare.
