Pinal County Sheriff’s Office reopens 1998 cold case

Posted: Updated:

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to solve a 20-year-old cold case.

Amy Anderson’s body was found in a desert area off Interstate 8 and Stanfield Road, on Nov. 17 1998.

Authorities said the wife and mother of three was reported missing 10 days prior.

Amy’s family told law enforcement she drove a neighbor to Circle K before she disappeared.

The next day, the woman’s vehicle was found abandoned near Stanfield Elementary School.

“Our detectives are frustrated and need to give her family closure after enduring two decades of unanswered questions,” said Sheriff Mark Lamb. “If you know something, please do the right thing and come forward.”

If you have any information, call the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office at (520)866-5111 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
