Marching toward a warming trend

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Atmospheric perfection after a quick hitting Winter storm.

The first day of March features sunshine and highs in the low 70s, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Overnight lows won't be as cold across southern Arizona, as Tucson bottoms out in the low 40s.

Mid 70s are in the forecast wrapping up the week, but gusty winds develop on Saturday. This is thanks to a cold front that passes through northern Arizona the second half of the weekend. By Sunday, highs only reach the mid 60s in the Old Pueblo.

The cool down will be short lived. High pressure regains control of the weather pattern much of next week, driving highs into the upper 70s as early as Tuesday.
