The parade of storms continues

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - It won't rain on the Rodeo Parade, but it will be cooler than normal.

After morning lows bottom out in the mid to upper 30s, highs this afternoon peak in the upper 50s. According to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, temperatures today run 10-12° below average for late February. Overnight lows once again drop to the mid to upper 30s.

Gusty winds are on tap Friday, courtesy of a cold front passing through northern Arizona. Westerly winds gust up to 25 MPH as highs reach the low 60s. Temperatures through the weekend remain in the upper 50s to low 60s, while lows crash to the low to mid 30s by daybreak Saturday & Sunday.

Models indicate a brief warming trend early next week, followed by the potential of a new storm system. Clouds and breezes increase Tuesday across southern Arizona. Wednesday features a 20% chance of valley rain/mountain snow and highs in the low 60s.
