News 4 Cooks: Garlic Spicy Edamame

Name of Dish: Garlic Spicy Edamame

Ingredients for dish (must be specific, no “secret ingredients”):

  • 10 oz Edamame Pods
  • 4 Garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • 2 Tablespoon chili oil
  • 1 Tablespoon serrano pepper thin sliced in wheels
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Lemons wedges (optional)


Heat chili oil, garlic, ginger and serrano peppers in a small dry skillet over medium heat, stirring until hot and aromatic, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside. Boil the edamame pods in salted water until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain in a colander and pat dry. Toss the edamame pods with the chili-salt and serve warm.
