When will rain come to an end?

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Showers likely makes for a slow commute this morning.

According to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, widespread rain continues for Metro Tucson through lunchtime. Thereafter, showers decrease to the scattered variety through the late afternoon hours. Highs struggle to reach the upper 50s in the Old Pueblo.

Widespread rains likely continue for areas east of Metro Tucson through late day.

Patchy fog may develop overnight as lows bottom out in the upper 40s. Scattered showers are expected to redevelop Friday afternoon and evening. Highs tomorrow peak in the mid 60s.

Through Friday night, an additional 0.50-1.00" rain is possible for Metro Tucson and areas east. Snowfall levels are expected to remain rather high. A few inches of wet snow may fall above 8,000 feet atop Mount Lemmon.

Drier and warmer weather should resume this weekend as temperatures return to the low 70s.
