TUCSON - The main event of the Gem Show is on tap "4 The Weekend"! Here's what else is happening.
First, we start with an arts and crafts event at the Arizona State Museum. "Culture Craft Saturday" boasts events like making a clay figurine, filming a stop motion movie and painting with natural pigments! Bring the kiddos down to campus starting at 10:30 AM on Saturday. Free is a sweet sound, especially when music's involved. Oro Valley's Steam Pump Ranch hosts the group "High Desert", part of their Second Saturday events. Along with the tunes, you can enjoy a terrific farmers market too. Music starts at 10:30 AM. Click here for more information.
And they're off! It's opening weekend for Rillito Racetrack, now in their 75th season of horse racing. Post time is 1 PM on Saturday and every weekend through March 18th. Click here for the complete racing schedule.
Last but not least, the wild card pick. The Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase.
