Court records: Vail double-homicide suspect used blunt force, knife to kill wife and daughter

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON – The man accused of murdering his wife and daughter appeared to have hit them with blunt objects and stabbed them, according to court records.

Hernando Enriquez, 44, was charged with the murder of his wife, Sandra Enriquez, 44, and daughter, Isabelle Enriquez, 15. They lived on Tomasita Drive near Sahuarita and Wentworth roads.

A 17-year-old boy arrived at a neighbor's house at about 4 p.m. Friday. He had been struck in the head and was covered in blood. He said his father attacked him while saying “Just let me do what I need to do,” according to a warrant filed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The boy told deputies his dad called him home from school early, which was unusual. He found his dad waiting for him outside their home. When they went inside, the father hit him in the head with a heavy metal object, according to the documents. A struggle went into the kitchen where the father attacked him with a knife, according to court records.

When deputies searched the home they found the two female victims in a tub.

They found Hernando Enriquez covered in blood in a nearby wash. They shot him with a Taser and were able to arrest him as he said, “Just go ahead and kill me,” according to the warrant.

The warrant can be read at this link.
