Brief break from Winter warmth coming

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - A pattern change is looking likely over the next 7 days.

Winter warmth continues for the remainder of the work week, thanks to high pressure off the California coast. Temperatures peak in the upper 70s to low 80s this afternoon through Saturday, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect plenty of sunshine during the daytime hours, followed up by low temps in the mid to upper 40s.

Gusty winds develop Saturday, ahead of a Pacific cold front. This front may produce an isolated shower on Sunday, but scattered showers may take shape on Monday. Tucson has a 30% chance of rain on Monday with highs only reaching the upper 60s.

Exact rain & mountain snowfall totals are unclear this far out.
