Cooler change in the near future?

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Warmth wins this week. Next week may be a different story.

Highs this afternoon through Saturday peak in the upper 70s to low 80s, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Warmest day out of the next 7 looks to be Thursday. Tucson likely reaches the low 80s and threatens Thursday's record high of 81° set just two years ago.

Overnight lows the next several nights bottom out in the mid to upper 40s.

Long range computer models are showing signs of pattern change next week. A possible storm system may snap our streak of warm temps after this weekend. Exact details on this possible storm system are unclear this far out.
