Tucson Police identify the victim killed in a midtown stabbing

Tucson - On Friday, February 2nd, around 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex near Craycroft and Pima.

Upon arrival they found 62-year-old, Mario Urena with stab wounds. First responders treated the man at the scene and transported him to Banner UMC with life-threatening injuries.

Urena later died from his injuries.

Detectives say, Urena lived in the apartment with his sister Martha Parra.

The two got in an argument and Parra got a knife as the argument escalated. She then stabbed Urena, called 911, and stayed on the scene.

She has been arrested for domestic violence – manslaughter, and booked in the Pima County Jail
