Missing toddler found unharmed in Mexico, mother arrested

UPDATE: The Tucson Police Department says 1-year-old Jeannette Grado has been found.

Officials said Jeannette McCann Lopez and her daughter were located unharmed in Mexico. 

Tucson Police detectives said Ms. McCann Lopez was taken into custody.


Detectives said they have received information that the toddler may possibly be in Mexico with her mother 37-year-old Jeannette McCann Lopez. 

According to reports, the Department of Child Safety has legal custody of Grado.

Police are asking for your help finding a missing toddler.

They say 1-year-old Jeannette Grado was taken by her mother Jeannette McCann Lopez during a supervised DCS visit at the Wilmot library yesterday.

Authorities say Lopez grabbed the child and ran from the building just before noon.

Now a felony arrest warrant has been issued for the mother. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
