South Korean police carry out security drills ahead of next month's winter Olympics

Posted: Updated:

South Korean police carried out security drills in Pyeongchang today,  ahead of next month's winter Olympics.

The head of South Korea's national police agency said they need to secure the safety of the North Korean athletes and other participants.

North Korea agreed earlier this month to send a delegation to the Olympics.

Its delegation at the games will include officials, athletes, a cheering group, journalists,  an art troupe and the Taekwondo demonstration team.
