• The Tucson Fringe Festival is back this week from January 12-14 and features 21 different theatrical events to choose from. The festival is a great opportunity to see things that are just a little out there and it a great opportunity to see remarkable performances by a variety of talented professionals in a short period of time. Performances take place at a variety of locations downtown – visit TucsonFringe.org for the schedule and ticket information.

• At the Etherton Gallery an exhibition entitled Trio: Rodrigo Moya, Graciela Iturbide, Masao Yamamoto is on display thru March 3. The photographers – two are from Mexico and one is from Japan, are complimentary of each other and represent a great look at the photography of their time and country both from a photojournalistic and artistic angle. The gallery is located at 135 S. 6th Avenue upstairs from Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails and is free and open to the public.

• It’s January and for Jazz fans that means one thing…the Tucson Jazz Festival is back. With performances taking place from January 11- 21 at a variety of locations, Tucson once again becomes the hub of the Jazz world. Top-notch performers are descending on the Old Pueblo including: Diane Schuur, Spyro Gyroand Arturo Sandoval being joined by talents like Sheila E. and others.
