Roadrunners sign forward Daniel Maggio

TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced the signing of forward Daniel Maggio to a professional tryout Tuesday.

The 26-year-old has scored five goals and added 14 assists for a total of 19 points in 34 games for the Fort Wayne Komets this season, the ECHL affiliate of the Roadrunners. 

The 6-foot-3, 210 lbs. native of Windsor, Ontario has 160 career American Hockey League games played over six seasons, including time with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Lake Erie Monsters, San Antonio Rampage and the Toronto Marlies.  Maggio was also selected in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Draft (#170 overall) by the New York Rangers.

The Roadrunners return to Tucson Arena next Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, for a matchup against the San Diego Gulls.  Tickets for the game, which features $1 hot dogs, popcorn and soda, are on sale now by clicking HERE or calling the team at 866-774-6253.
