The Tucson Fire Department said it's investigating a “suspicious” fire that broke out at a motel on the south side, on Monday.

The fire sparked up at a motel in the 1000 block of east Benson Highway.

Fire officials said the fire started in a room that stored motel records.

The building was evacuated after and employee pulled the fire alarm, according to a news release.

Fire crews had the flames under control in less than 20 minutes, according to TFD.

Fire officials said no one was hurt and the occupants were able to return to the building.

The investigation is ongoing.
