Tucson’s first baby boy and first baby girl were born just two minutes apart at Tucson Medical Center.
First came baby boy Dominic Tribolet, who was born right at midnight. His parents, Nic and Kassandra, said they definitely were not expecting a New Year’s baby.
“We would joke about it throughout the pregnancy. Little jokes, here and there,” said Nic Tribolet. “It's kinda funny to see it actually happened.”
Two minutes after Dominic’s arrival, baby Aminah Albaka made her debut at TMC.
Her parents, Christina and Moussa, were both surprised their baby girl waited until after the new year to arrive.
“We didn't know if she was going to be born before New Year’s or after New Years,” said Christina Bowe. “And then boom. She's a little miracle.”
Both babies and both moms are doing well, and expected to go home this week.
