TUCSON -

It was a warm day in the old pueblo! Tucson tied the record for the warmest December 30 day with a high of 82 degrees at Tucson International Airport. The last time Tucson reached 82 degrees was on December 30, 1917, 100 years ago.

This upswing in warm weather is due to a high pressure system over the southwest. This system, along with the warm weather will remain in our area for the rest of the week. Temperatures will cool slightly, but will still remain well above average, in the mid-to-upper 70s.
