TUCSON- Authorities are urging drivers to celebrate safety New Years Eve. Here are a few resources to get you home safe. 

There are cab and ride share companies available.

An Uber spokesperson tells News 4 Tucson fares will be higher than usual New Years Eve.

The spokesperson suggest using Uber "multi-destination", where you can pick up or drop off friends en route and share one Uber. 

The spokesperson suggests you avoid riding between midnight and 3 a.m. as that's when fares will be the highest. 

AAA will be offering Tipsy Tow, which is where the company offers a free ride home, and tow, up to 10 miles. Call 1-800-AAA-HELP.

Tucson's ABC Cab Company offers to drive you and your car home. The best way to arrange that, is to call ahead (520) 623-7979. 

According to Safe Auto Blog, compared to the average weekend night, the 12-hour window between Dec. 31 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 1 has about 71 percent more crashes where alcohol or drugs are a contributing factor.

The Tucson Police Department will have more officers on the road looking for drunk drivers.
