4 the Weekend: Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl events

Posted: Updated:
TUCSON -

The Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl kicks off on Friday, but there are so many events surrounding the game, including the free downtown block party Thursday night.

Where else can you play Human Foosball, see the world's longest Sonoran Hot Dog and check out the Battle of the Bands?  It all happened at Armory Park.

On Friday it's the Desert Diamond Casino Tailgate Festival.

Just before kickoff, popular group Neon Trees will perform on the main stage.

There's also Tucson's Nacho Festival.  The tailgate begins at 11 a.m. on the U of A mall.

Now on to the matters that will be settled on the field.  New Mexico State playing in its first bowl game in 57 years, takes on Utah State in the 3rd Noval Home Loans Arizona Bowl.

Kickoff from Arizona Stadium is at 3:30 p.m.  Tickets are still available for the battle between the Aggies.

Finally, no football party is complete until there's an after party!
There will be a decided 80's theme downtown Friday night.

"Flock of Seagulls" has a live concert over at Armory Park. They will hit the stage at 8 p.m.

You can find details on these events and others on the community calendar on our website at kvoa.com.
