New exercise stations added at Menlo Park

Posted: Updated:
TUCSON -

New exercises stations have been installed at Menlo Park.

This project includes four outdoor exercise stations that were selected by the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association. These stations will provide a workout for the upper body, legs and abdominal muscles. The upper body exercise stations are designed for wheelchair use and are arranged on a concrete slab with a lighted fabric shade structure covering the fitness area.

Funding was provided by voter-approved Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment Bond Funds of $54,599, a Cigna Foundation Grant of $12,300, and $14,240 of dedicated parks funding from the City of Tucson's participation in the National League of Cities Service Line Warranty Program.

The new additions will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. at Menlo Park at 325 N. Grande Avenue.
