TUCSON - Mother Nature's unwrapping a week's worth of 70s for the Old Pueblo.

High pressure anchors over the Eastern Pacific the next several days, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Tucson's forecast high of 77° today would mark the warmest Christmas for the city in 12 years. Temperatures this afternoon run 10-15° above normal for Southern Arizona.

Mostly sunny skies prevail for Christmas Day, followed by partly cloudy skies tomorrow and Wednesday. Highs remain in the mid 70s.

More sunshine breaks out Thursday across the Sonoran Desert. The streak of 70s continues its run heading into the new year for Metro Tucson. Forecast lows in the short term bottom out in the low to mid 40s.
