All you need to know about tonight's hard freeze

TUCSON - A strong cold front transforms Tucson into the Cold Pueblo overnight.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hard Freeze Warning for Metro Tucson & the Tohono O'odham Nation from midnight until 9 AM Friday. According to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, lows across much of Metro Tucson bottom out in the mid to upper 20s by daybreak Friday. 

Tonight is slated to be Tucson's first freeze of the season & the coldest night in over a year. The average date for Tucson's first seasonal freeze typically arrives around November 24th.

Western Pima County is under a Freeze Warning overnight, where lows crash to the upper 20s to low 30s.

Another overnight freeze is possible tomorrow night into early Saturday morning. Much of Metro Tucson wakes up Saturday to the upper 20s to low 30s. Models indicate a strong warming trend arriving in time for Christmas.
