TUCSON - Sunday marked the wettest day in the Old Pueblo since August 13th.

Officially 0.48" rain fell at Tucson International Airport during the morning and afternoon hours. This puts Tucson's 2017 rainfall total at 10.77", which is 0.42" below average through mid December.

The southern half of Metro Tucson was the big rainfall winner over the weekend. Around a half inch of rain was recorded Sunday in Tucson Estates and near Sahuarita.

Meanwhile, rain changed over to snow around 6,000 feet Sunday. Spotters on Mount Lemmon reported 5-6" snow on the ground, mainly around Summerhaven and Ski Valley.
