TUCSON - The Sonoran Wind Machine cranks up to wrap the weekend.

High pressure over Nevada coupled with a Baja storm system produces easterly winds up to 25 MPH Sunday, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Despite mostly cloudy skies, temperatures Sunday peak in the upper 60s to low 70s. The average high for mid December in the mid 60s.

Lows Sunday night bottom out in the upper 40s, thanks to partly cloudy skies.

Breezes relax for the work week. Cloud cover starts to slowly erode on Monday, with mostly sunny skies breaking out Tuesday. Afternoon highs most (if not all) of the new week peak in the low to mid 70s. Lows remain on the mild side as well, dropping into the low to mid 40s.
