Winter chill on the outs

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - From cold morning temps to a blustery weekend.

High pressure anchored over Western Nevada drives a gradual warming trend, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Daytime highs peak in the mid 60s this afternoon, followed by lows in the mid to upper 30s. By the weekend, highs spike in the low to mid 70s across Metro Tucson.

Gusty winds are also on tap Saturday and Sunday. Expect easterly gusts around 20-25 MPH during the afternoon & nighttime hours. Breezes relax by the new work week.

Cloud cover may increase some by the second half of the weekend & Monday. More sunshine breaks out Tuesday as highs remain in the 70s.

Overnight lows next week bottom out in the low to mid 40s.
