The Arizona Department of Transportation is taking the first step towards widening 4 miles of road.
It’s happening on Interstate 10, south of Eloy. There will be 3 lanes in the area. The ground clearing will happen from milepost 209 to 213.
They’re also expected to place the dust detection technology and warning zone, designated to alert drivers of dangerous blowing ahead. It has two types of radar to detect the blowing dust.
The work is all part of a $58.4 million dollar FASTLANE grant.
