Here's more from Arizona Athletics:

San Diego State (5-2) made 11 three-pointers en route to a 78-67 win over Arizona (2-5) in McKale Center on Sunday afternoon.

"Overall we got better," head coach Adia Barnes said. "We got a lot better last week in practice and we played with a lot more intensity. We did not lose the 50/50 balls today and we rebounded the best we've rebounded all year with 17 offensive rebounds. Everybody is doing what we ask and we are getting better, but I reminded them tonight after the game that it's a process and our process is getting better every game and the wins will come. It's just tough to lose a game like this, I thought we played better, we just didn't play better for 40 minutes."
JaLea Bennett had another huge game as she scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds. That is the first time in her career she has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games.
Destiny Graham had a nice game in the post as she poured in 14 points and brought down six rebounds. She now has four double-figures scoring games this season. Sammy Fatkin had a breakout game as she scored 11 points with three made three-pointers in a career-high 18 minutes.

"It is a different vibe after coming off of a loss," Graham said. "I know that sometimes last year or the year before, it was 'it is what it is, we just lost.' But this year, it's 'we lost, next game, what are we going to do to change it? What are we going to do to be better?' I think it is more of a positive look for the next game."
The first quarter was fast paced as the two teams combined to score 41 points with San Diego State edging out Arizona 21-20. San Diego State extended their lead in the second quarter to 41-34 at halftime thanks to an 8-0 run towards the end of the second quarter. Bennett had 11 points and Thomas had 10 points at halftime for Arizona.
At the end of three, Arizona trailed San Diego State 57-49 thanks to a buzzer beating three-pointer at the end of the period by Fatkin. With just under five minutes remaining in the game, Arizona cut the lead to three points, but the Aztecs were able to hold on as they made 13 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Arizona will hit the road for their next game on Thursday, Dec. 7 against Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Ariz. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. MST.
