MARANA - More than 5,000 people gathered at Marana City Hall Saturday night to take part in the annual holiday festival which included the Christmas Tree lighting.
Several generations of the same family were all together enjoying the evening. "We're in the Christmas spirit because my daughter was born in December," Tucson resident Alvina Romero said. "Ever since then we've had our Christmas spirit and now she's a mom and this is my grandson so we want to carry on the Christmas spirit with him."
"Just seeing their face as the lights come on, just seeing their excitement, it's a great time to be with the family," Jeremy Sammons of Marana said.
The Mountain View High School Jazz band played on stage right after the tree lighting.
