Local motorcycle groups honors fallen officers

TUCSON - The Fallen Heroes Wreath Program honors police officers who have died serving their community.

On Saturday they will lay a wreath at each of over three-hundred fallen officer grave sites in Arizona.

A photo is taken of each grave site once the wreath is placed and that photo is sent to the family of the officer.

Michael Batelli with the Choir Boys Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club is a retired Tucson Police detective.

He lost his partner, Randy Graves, in the line of duty in '86.

Michael says that the families area always very grateful to receive the photo of the grave site.

The program is currently active in four states.

Organizers hope to turn it into a national program in the coming years.
