For more than a year Sherry Petermann says she was getting along just fine.
Then, all of a sudden ends stopped meeting and she couldn't figure out why.
"I found myself being short about $50 or so a month," said Petermann.
At first, Petermann couldn't tell where the money was going, until she looked at her cable bill.
In just a few months it went from around $33 to nearly $80. Even though Petermann though she had a lifetime contract.
"I don't know how to figure this out and I have no alternatives," said Petermann.
News 4 Tucson Investigators contacted Petermann's cable company about the rate increase.
Company emails show Petermann was originally signed up for a limited-time promotional price. Petermann, however, says that's not what a company representative told her over the phone.
"There was no mention of it being a one-year thing or three-month or something like that, it was just this is your price," said Petermann.

Susann Miller with the Better Business Bureau says getting a quick resolution can be difficult.
"If you are unsatisfied but you have no proof there really is nothing you can do at that point," said Miller.
However, Miller says you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
"We then work on your behalf. And while we are not an enforcement agency we can reach out to the company. Would you be willing to work with them," said Miller.
Consumer advocates also say one old piece of advice always holds true, get it in writing.
