N4T Investigators: Former union employee sentenced

Tucson- A former employee of the police association, AZCOPS , was sentenced today to three years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing approximately $190,000 in union funds. 

Under the plea agreement, 62-year-old Mary McNabb pleaded guilty to Theft and also Fraudulent Schemes. Pima County Superior Court Records show McNabb stole her employer's money from July, 2012 until Oct.,2014. The News 4 Tucson Investigators first reported on the investigation into missing AZCOPS funds in January, 2015.

McNabb was taken into custody immediately after the sentencing. She also was ordered to repay $30,000 in restitution for AZCOPS forensic audit that took place when the union realized money was missing, and received seven years' probation.
