90s in November? It's happening!

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Record heat & a temperature rarity to start the work week.

This afternoon is slated to become Tucson's third latest 90° day ever recorded, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Today's forecast high of 90° would also break the record of 88° last set in 1999. High temperatures this afternoon run 15° above normal, thanks to high pressure over Baja California.

This high pressure feature shows no signs of breaking down, helping to drive near record highs tomorrow and Wednesday. After temps briefly dip to the low 80s Friday, near record heat returns for the upcoming weekend.

The average high for mid November is roughly 75°. Long range models indicate temperatures running well above this mark over the next 7-10 days.
