Endless 80s on repeat

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Above average heat is going nowhere anytime soon.

High pressure remains anchored over Western Mexico the next 7 days, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Daytime highs this afternoon peak in the mid 80s, running 10° above average. Mostly sunny skies are on tap today, but clouds increase overnight.

Despite partly cloudy skies, daytime highs for Veterans Day and Sunday reach mid 80s.

Record heat is in the forecast Monday. Tucson's forecast high of 88° would tie the record set in 1999. Temps drop back to the mid 80s Tuesday through late next week.

Overnight lows the next several nights bottom out in the mid to upper 50s, which is also well above average for this time of year.
