TUCSON - Veterans Day on tap "4 The Weekend". We'll highlight a few of the many events happening to honor our military heroes.
First to the art scene and a big festival. Head to the northeast corner of Tangerine and Thornydale this weekend for the Tangerine Crossing Art Festival. The local art showcase is happening from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday. Sunday hours are 10 AM to 4 PM. Click here for more information.
Downtown Tucson hosts a terrific Veterans Day concert. The 4th annual "Hats Off To Heroes" takes place at Jacome Plaza. Several acts will be performing. Starts at high noon and ends Saturday evening at 6 PM. Click here to see which bands are playing.
The Tucson Roadrunners conclude a 6 game home-stand with a Friday and Saturday date with Bakersfield. Puck drops both nights at 7:05 PM. Saturday's game is Military Appreciation Night, where the team will be wearing special uniforms. Those military hockey jerseys will be up for auction as well. Click here for tickets.
Last call for Bear Down Fridays! This weekend's wild card pick is the last Arizona football pep rally at Main Gate Square, complete with the U of A marching band, Wilbur and Wilma. Bear Down Fridays runs 4-7 PM. Click here for more details.
