This week the Reid Park Zoo will welcome a red panda for the first time in Arizona history.
Groundskeepers altered an old habitat to make it more comfortable for the animal ahead of its arrival.
Zoo officials said they brought in more trees and created sleeping boxes to make the panda feel at home.
Cable fencing was also installed to allow visitors a good look at the animal without getting to close.
Visitors can check out the red panda Nov. 11 & 12th and take part in a special preview on Saturday morning at 9.
