Deputies use hands-on event to deter impaired driving

TUCSON – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is using hands-on demonstrations to deter impaired driving.

Deputies are hosting the Go Cart Go Safe Distracted Driving Event at Autobahn Indoor Speedway from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 5.

People will be driving electric go carts with “DUI goggles.” Deputies will perform field sobriety tests.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving will lead classroom discussions.

The speedway is located at 300 South Toole Avenue near Downtown.
