Weekend temps running a slight fever

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - The average high for early November is in the upper 70s. Chances are we'll be above that mark for a while.

High pressure continues to build and expand over Mexico, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. As a result, daytime highs for the upcoming weekend peak in the low to mid 80s. Saturday features decreasing cloud cover during the afternoon hours, followed by a mostly sunny Sunday.

Cloud cover increases early next week, as a weak Pacific trough moves toward Arizona. This feature provides partly to mostly cloudy skies Monday through Wednesday. Mountaintops could see a stray shower or two develop on Tuesday. Valley floors remain dry for the foreseeable future.

Daytime highs for the new work week max out in the low 80s, accompanied by nighttime lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Watch Jeff for a complete look at your forecast tonight at 4, 5, 6 and 10. Follow Jeff's weather updates on Facebook and Twitter.
