Nearing the 90s in November

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - The start of the new month features a run at another 90° day.

Daytime highs to wrap the work week peak in the low to mid 80s for Metro Tucson, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Mostly sunny skies are on tap Thursday, followed by increasing clouds Friday afternoon. High pressure builds over Mexico for the first weekend of November, driving temperatures toward record levels.

Saturday's forecast high of 88° would be three shy of the record set in 2009. Tucson's average last 90° day typically arrives around October 21st. The latest 90° day on record for Tucson is November 22nd, set in 1924.

Temperatures drop to the low to mid 80s second half of the weekend & early next week. Partly cloudy skies prevail through Wednesday.
