Apple Annie’s: Pumpkin French Toast Sticks
Ingredients for dish:
6 Slices thick bread
½ cup milk
¾ cup pumpkin puree
1 tsp. Pumpkin pie spice
Sugar for sprinkling on top
Add eggs, milk, pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice to a large mixing bowl. Whisk together until well combined.
Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips.
Dip each bread stick into the pumpkin batter and turn until the entire bread surface is fully coated.
In a skillet over medium heat, spray or coat with butter, and cook the French toast sticks for 3-4 minutes per side. When both sides are a rich golden brown, the French toast sticks should be cooked through. Top with favorite syrup.
