Arizona soccer takes down WSU 1-0

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona women’s soccer team defeated the Washington State Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Tucson, Ariz. After a cross from Charlotte Brascia, Gabi Stoian scored an early goal for the Wildcats that would carry them to victory.

Arizona is back in action on November 2nd, 2017 at 7 p.m. MST to host the Arizona State Sun Devils for the final match of the regular season.

56’ – WSU corner led to a shot but Burdett saved it no problem.

60’ – Jill Aguilera was fouled just outside the 18. Stoian’s subsequent shot was saved by a diving goalkeeper.

75’ – The ball popped out to Taryn Siegele on the top of the box. Her shot went over the crossbar.

78' – A corner for the Cats led to a shot by Gabi Stoian but it was scooped up by WSU GK.
