Fall temps in the forecast...finally!

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - At long last, a pattern change is brewing.

Not before October finishes on a warm note, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Highs this afternoon through Monday peak in the upper 80s to low 90s, running roughly 7-10° above average. High pressure anchored west of the state locks in sunshine and light winds during the daytime hours.

By Halloween, this warm pattern begins to break down. A storm system north of the state starts to drop temperatures back to Fall levels. Highs next Tuesday and Wednesday peak in the low 80s, accompanied by partly cloudy skies.

Overnight lows next week bottom out in the upper 50s to low 60s.
