De La Hoya fighters train at Pascua Yaqui Wellness Center; Cholla grad to make pro boxing debut on Thursday ESPN fight card at Casino Del Sol;

In addition to Jesus Soto Karass, the popular former champ from Los Mochis, Sinaloa returning to the ring in Tucson, and unbeaten super featherweight champ Ryan Garcia heading up the fight card on November 2nd at the Casino Del Sol, there'll also be a Southern Arizona flavor.

Tucson's very own Christopher "Guero" Gonzalez will make his pro debut against Sierra Vista's Jesus Arevalo.  Here's more on Guero Gonzalez as-seen-on KVOA News 4 Tucson:

WHAT:                      Jesus “Renuente” Soto Karass (28-12-4, 18 KOs), the experienced Mexican warrior of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, and the newly-crowned Junior NABF Super Featherweight Champion Ryan “Kingry” Garcia (11-0, 10 KOs) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, October 18 at the NEW Paradiso Lounge at Casino Del Sol in Tucson Arizona ahead of their respective bouts on the November 2 edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN.

FACTS:                     Soto Karass vs. Abreu is a 10-round welterweight fight presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Showdown Promotions, Don Chargin Productions and Paco Presents Boxing. The event is sponsored by Tecate, “THE OFFICAL BEER OF BOXING” and Hennessy "Never Stop, Never Settle,” and will take place on Nov. 2 at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Ariz. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes will televise the fights at 11:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. PT. ESPN3 live streaming of the undercard fights will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.
