Heat is our four letter word now and for the distant future

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON - Unusually warm weather will maintain its course across SE Arizona for the foreseeable future. A few clouds have mixed-in today and will linger into the day Wednesday. A weak disturbance may even trigger a few showers into the higher terrain over the next 24-36 hours.

Friday through Saturday will bring some relief as temperatures drop to the upper 80 to low 90s, but expect near record heat to build back into the area by early next week. Monday and Tuesday of next week are expected to be the hottest days where the mercury is expected to rise to the mid-to-upper 90s. Keep in mind the average high for the end of October falls into the low 80s.
