Northwest Fire joins other agencies in sending help to California wildfires

TUCSON -

Several firefighting agencies from the Tucson area are sending help to California to battle dozens of out of control wildfires.

Northwest Fire is sending resources on Thursday.

A type 3 wildland engine with 4 firefighters and a strike team leader will be leaving from Northwest Fire Station 36 in Marana. 

Green Valley Fire Department, Rio Rico Fire Department, Rural Metro and AMR ambulance have either already left for California or are planning to send crews and equipment to aid in the battle against the wildfires.
