UA football player to be arraigned in domestic violence incident

University of Arizona football safety Scottie Young Jr. will be in court Wednesday in an alleged domestic violence incident.

He is scheduled to be arraigned.

He was arrested Sept. 27 by UAPD and released with a woman identified by the Pima County Sheriffs Department as Shamar Davis. 

According to the UA police report, Davis tried retrieving her laptop from Young at the Likins Residence Hall on the UA campus.

She said Young threw the laptop at her.

The confrontation continued in the hallway.

Young is a freshman from San Diego, where he attended Helix High School.

He's charged with misdemeanor assault knowingly causing injury.
