Zoo 4 You: Educational Programs

Posted: Updated:

Written by Natalie Goldstick

The Reid Park Zoo recently took part in a conference put on by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to learn how it can enhance its educational programs.

Zoo Educator, Brittany Caldwell, said she learned that it’s important to help kids appreciate nature and the animals that call it home.

The Zoo has several young explorer programs that help children learn about what zookeepers do on a daily basis.

There’s also a Ghostly Animal Tales program that debunks animal myths with a spooky twist.
