Opera, visual artists elevate Art after Dark at Children's Museum

Posted: Updated:

The Children’s Museum Tucson will celebrate the local arts community with Art after Dark on Saturday.

This month’s Art After Dark will feature instructors from The Drawing Studio, who will give kids a lesson in creating a self-portrait using mirrors, paints and other materials.

Kids will also get a crash course in the art of opera as Arizona Opera performers will bring Hansel and Gretel to life with a performance from this family friendly production.

There will also be a fun take-home activity for the kids.

The Museum will be open from 5:30-8 pm, with free admission for everyone.

Art after Dark is a monthly arts program and community evening event, held on second Saturdays, designed to provide exposure and access to arts in our community. It is sponsored by the David and Lura Lovell Foundation, the Finley Family Foundation and Tucson Federal Credit Union.
